Leak Repair

Leak Repair in Lexington, KY

One wall, one window, one crack. Targeted repairs for people who do not need a whole system and should not be sold one.

Not every wet basement needs a system

Sometimes the water is coming through one identifiable place, and the right answer is to fix that place. A cracked wall, a failed window seal, a window well with no drainage under it.

A company that only sells full systems will find a reason you need a full system. We would rather do the small job well and be the people you call when something bigger happens.

When a repair is not enough

If the inspection shows water arriving along the whole wall rather than at one point, a patch will move the problem rather than solve it. We will tell you that up front rather than take the easy money and let you call us back in a year.

What is included

The work

Staining and efflorescence from seepage
Where the wall meets the new floor curb
Sometimes the leak is fixed from outside

Before and after

Before
After

Same wall, same corner. The framing came off, the wall was treated and a barrier run over it, and a new curb poured at the floor to take what still comes through the block.

Common questions

What are the signs my basement or foundation needs waterproofing?

White chalky residue on block, a musty smell that never clears, cracks that keep growing, rust at the base of appliances, damp patches that darken a day or two after rain, and humidity you can feel. Any sign of water damage or mold is worth an inspection before it becomes structural.

How long does a typical waterproofing project take?

Anywhere from three days to a week, depending on the scope of work and site conditions. You will get a specific timeline with your written scope rather than a guess over the phone.

Do you offer warranties for your waterproofing services?

Yes. Every system we install carries a lifetime labor warranty.

What is the difference between interior and exterior waterproofing, and which do I need?

Interior work accepts that water is going to reach the wall, and gives it somewhere to go: a drain at the footing that carries it to a pump instead of onto your floor. Exterior work digs down along the outside of the wall and stops the water before it ever gets there. Interior costs less and is far less disruptive, and it is what most Lexington houses get. Exterior is the answer when the wall itself is the problem. Which one you need comes out of the inspection, not out of a phone call.

Water where it shouldn't be?

Call, or text a photo of the wall and we will tell you what we are looking at.
